Today was our first day in a new class it was an interesting day.
The class is all about communicating electronically and we learnt alot about emails, and the ettiquite behind them.
I didnt have much experience with emails before this class, just the odd one from family and friends but mostly it was just juck emails from signing up to different things.
After getting to know each other a little bit we set up an email and watched a video all about emails. There was alot of information in the video including a very brief history of the internet and social media. It then had details about emails like teaching all the parts of an email and tips on producing good emails.
Other things I learnt to consider when typing an email include
Is it appropriate for the audience
Does it contain proper language
Is it readable
Make sure attachments are not too big
Are the details correct of the person/s you are sending it to
The video also talked about texting, instant messaging and cyberbullying.
Im not sure if I will use emails any more than I did before but then again I never thought Id be in a position where I would be using computers all the time.
